Exhibition Area
Latham Park, located one block north of the downtown Lincoln courthouse square, provides ample, shaded space for the art fair. Booth frontal area is approximately 15 feet. Artists will be responsible for displaying and sheltering their work.

Artists - Jury Process
- All NEW Artists will be screened.
- Please send 3-5 images of work completed within the past three years. Digital photos (jpeg format) on data CD are preferred.
- Clearly label CDs or protective photo sleeves with the artist's name and description of items in photos, including the dimensions of each piece.
- Artists will be notified of their acceptance status in writing.
- Artists may exhibit only in the medium in which they were screened; artists who wish to display items in multiple media should submit photos for each.
- All artists are asked to submit a resume with their application.
Eligibility
Original works in painting, graphics, sculpture, photography, wood, glass, metal, etchings, lithography, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, and mixed media are eligible.
Requirements:
- Artist is required to be in attendance in his/her booth during the hours of the festival.
- The artist is required to display original work only.
- Prints should be signed, numbered, limited edition pieces of work.
- All work displayed should be for sale with the price clearly marked.
- $125 application fee. All sales tax reporting will be the responsibility of the artist!
- $10 non-refundable jury fee for all NEW artists (separate checks)
Patron Purchases
Patrons and sponsors are issued "ART BUCKS" for their advance commitment to the Lincoln Art Fair. These certificates are accepted by artists same as cash. The Chamber of Commerce will issue a check to each artist in the amount of their art buck certificates starting at 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 26.
Food, Entertainment & Perks
- A continental breakfast is provided for artists during set-up hours on both Saturday and Sunday mornings.
- Musical entertainment is provided in the park for a festive ambience.
- Each artist will receive a free weekend gate pass to enjoy the hot air balloon launches and related activities at the Logan County Airport on Friday & Saturday evenings.
- Hotel rooms will be negotiated at a special artist rate at one of the local hotels.
Services
- Free parking for all participating artists
- Food & restroom facilities convenient to the exhibition area
- Emergency plan in place for artists in the event of severe weather or disaster
- Volunteers allow artists to take restroom & meal breaks
- Although every precaution will be taken, the sponsoring organization will not be responsible for loss, damage, theft, or vandalism!
Awards & Judging
- Best of Show, $350 (Sponsored by IL State Representative Rich Brauer)
- Best New Artist Award, $100
- Janet Harris Memorial Award, $100 presented by the Harris family to the painter displaying the most originality in contemporary expression and form.
- 1st Place Award, $300
- 2nd Place Award, $200
- 3rd Place Award, $100
- Prizes will be awarded based on overall quality of exhibit. Judging will be completed on Saturday with presentation of awards to follow.
Children's Art Gallery
A Children's Art Gallery is included in our festival to help foster a healthy art appreciation in the youth of our community... your future customers! This tent will be open during the hours of the Lincoln Art Fair. This special area, including an art sale and hands-on art activities, is provided for children ages 12 & under. A donation of your work would be very much appreciated. These items will be marked for sale at a child-friendly price.
