40th Annual Fine Art Fair will be held on Saturday, August 24th, 10am - 5pm and Sunday August 25th, 10am-4pm at Latham Park in downtown Lincoln. Over 70 juried artists from various mediums make this fine art fair one of Central Illinois' best. We are proud to offer art of all mediums. Photography, water colors, ceramic, jewelry, pottery, mixed mediums, metal work, wood work, and many more.

Children's Art Fair is a place where children can shop and create artwork while mom, dad, and grandparents visit the Art Fair. Sponsored by Christian Child Care this is a safe place for your children to visit and learn more about art. We offer unique art; this opportunity allows children to make their own art fair purchases at reduced, child friendly prices. Children's Art Fair hours are Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 10-4. This is an excellent opportunity to introduce your child to the exciting world of art.
The Craft Fair makes the move to Scully Park in downtown Lincoln. There are over 50 booths to browse for handmade crafts. Enjoy lunch and live music before making your way through lovely downtown Lincoln. Crafters of all mediums will be available Friday 3-5, Saturday 10-5, and Sunday 10-4.
The Oasis Flea Market will offer treasures for everyone. Wander through Scully Park in attempt to find that hidden gem you have been looking for. Don't forget to stop by the food tent for a delicious lunch; it's also a great place to visit with friends and family while enjoying the musical talents that will be announced soon! Flea Market opens in Scully Park Friday 3-5, Saturday 10-5, and Sunday 10-4.
The 3rd Annual "Up In Smoke On The Square" is a Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned BBQ cook-off event that will be held in downtown Lincoln on Friday, August 23 and Saturday, August 24 during the Festival. The barbecue contest will bring close to 50 competitors from all over the country to our community to compete for a total purse of $15,000 taking our Central Illinois Festival to the national level. The Art of Wine & Brew will be featuring eight wineries and two microbreweries each have a passion for delivering the best product available and love the idea of pairing their offerings with food fresh from the grill. Valuing each others passion and partnership they will be teaming up with four barbecue vendors provided by the "Up in Smoke on the Square" barbecue and will be featuring live entertainment throughout the whole weekend. The Art of Wine & Brew's hours are Friday, August 23rd 5 -11, Saturday, August 24th 11:30 - 11 and Sunday, August 25th 12:30 - 5 in the Downtown Lincoln Historic District.
Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival Parade-kickoff the festival with a lights & siren parade winding through downtown Lincoln featuring sponsors, pilots, and other local groups. The parade will travel downtown past both Scully Park & Latham Park ending at the Logan County Airport. Parade starts at 3:30pm. To be part of the parade click here.
Family fun and games come enjoy the day while the kids play. Work your way through the corridor of activities between Latham Park and Scully Park along Kickapoo Street. This is a great way to spend you day before heading out to the airport.
Car Show on Sunday is sponsored by Railsplitter Antique Auto Club and it will be held downtown around the Courthouse square. Enjoy an afternoon stroll from 1pm-4pm.
Lincoln Public Library Used Book Sale is an annual event that offers patrons with the opportunity to purchase books from a large selection of literature. Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 10am -2pm, at the Lincoln Public Library, 725 Pekin Street.
Come and sample some of Logan County's finest produce at the Lincoln Farmer's Market held both Saturday and Sunday of the Festival. The new location will be across from the Craft Fair next to Regions Bank.
Food Downtown - Lincoln offers multiple food choices for even the pickiest of eaters. We have corn dogs, walleye sandwiches, smoothies, kettle corn, pulled pork sandwiches. We guarantee you won't go home hungry.
The 1800's Craft Fair will be held on Sunday, August 25, from 10am-4pm at Postville Courthouse State Historic site, 914 Fifth Street, Lincoln. We invite you to come visit the grounds where Abraham Lincoln practiced law. Step back in time and enjoy the talents and skills that have been handed down from many generations before. Crafters will demonstrate rug hooking, rope making, spinner-weaving, quilters, blacksmithing, broom making, cabinet making, coppering, wool dying, candle dipping, paper marbleizing, and chair making. An herbalist will be on hand, as will an 1840's buck spinner, a live honey bee display, and other 19th century activities. Lincoln impersonator Gary Simpkins and period music provided by Postville Express, Chris Vallillo, Prairie Aires, Dale Evans, Steve Staley, and Mark Mathewson.

Come enjoy the mass ascension of the hot air balloons in the skies of Logan County. Morning and evening flights both Friday and Saturday weather permitting. At dusk the balloons will come back to the Airport and re-inflate for evening glows. This is a spectacular event that is enjoyed by the young and old alike.
Tethered Balloon Rides will be available Friday August 23rd and Saturday, August 24th at the Logan County Airport weather permitting. Rides are $15 per adult and $10 per child (12 & Under) and up to 6 people can ride at a time (weight permitting).
Paid Balloon Rides are available for purchase through the Chamber Office. You may call 217-735-2385 to make your reservation. One ride is $250 per person, which is a 45 minute to 1 hour ride over Lincoln and Logan County. These rides take place Saturday and Sunday morning at 6:30 AM. There are a limited number of rides available, and they always fill up quick.
The airport offers family fun and entertainment with children's activities and our Midway Carnival. On Saturday, get unlimited rides from 1 PM to 4 PM for only $15!
Rock Climbing - Test your skills as you trek to the top of the "mountain". This festival favorite is fun for all ages.
Kite Making - Join the Wisconsin Kiters Club, Saturday, August 24 starting at 1PM at the airport, and check out their kite flying skills. Watch and be amazed at their ability to fly 30 foot kites high above the Logan County Airport. Children can make their own kites and learn how to fly them as well for only $5!

Screamin' Vatos is a 10-piece band from Springfield, IL with extra percussionists and full horn section. They play the music of Santana, Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan & more - Latin-tinged Rock with a lot of Soul and Funk thrown in. Don't miss this awesome line-up on Friday, August 23rd immediately following the balloon glow.

Big Daddy Jasper is returning to the Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival but this time as the festival headliner. They play a wide variety of music; covering numerous artists and genres of music.
Beer Garden - come relax with other adults and enjoy the perfect view of the hot air balloon glow and live entertainment all from our beer garden. Must be 21 to enter.
Food and Drinks - We offer food choices for everyone's tastes. From corn dogs and lemonade shake-ups to bar-b-queue and smoothies, you will find just what you're craving. With offerings of popcorn, hotdogs, porkchops sandwiches, ice cream, funnel cakes, soft drinks, water and sports drinks, and french fries. We promise if you come hungry, you will leave happy.
